1. What if our family is away for the tryout date?

For current Torpedoes players this is not an issue at all. The trainers have been watching the players in practice and games during the Fall & Winter Seasons. The trainers know what the best placement will be from these practice and games.

For players who are new to Torpedoes we can invite you to a team practice for an evaluation  once you are available.

2. What if I'm not comfortable with my son/daughter attending, either because I'm nervous for their safety, or because I'm exposed more than most (first responder, nurse doctor, etc.) and don't want to risk the health of others?

There is no pressure to attend tryouts. If your child can not attend, FOR ANY REASON, it's okay and the coach will simply look at past performance or invite you to team practices for an evaluation when you feel comfortable to return

3. Is there going to be an additional tryout?

Per the governor our state is reopening in phases. The goal will be to have a second tryout in July when we have hopefully reached the next phase.
The next phase could involve small scrimmages etc, and the players can be evaluated in a more holistic way.
The second option, depending on the number of players who need to be evaluated is to invite players to a team practice for further evaluation.
