Torpedoes SC donate old team jerseys to disadvantaged children in South Africa

Matzikama: The local municipality, in collaboration with Tronox Namakwa Sands and Torpedoes Soccer Club of Wyckoff, NJ, has made it possible for the children of Rietpoort, Molsvlei and Bitterfontein, respectively, to receive soccer jerseys and soccer balls.

This donation of 100 soccer jerseys and 12 soccer balls was delivered by Paul Morrison (Vice President, Tronox, USA), whose son also played for the Torpedoes, as well as William Tlou (Regional Financial Director Tronox SA) during a visit to the schools Monday, August 6 accompanied by Gideon Abrahams and Thesme van Zyl of Matzikama Municipality.

With great excitement, the jerseys and balls were received by the students, as well as educators and heads of the disadvantaged schools!
